Braves Bullpen, Option Decisions
Following a premature postseason exit after a record-setting season, Alex Anthopoulos is refusing to sit on his hands.
Since the Braves’ exit, Anthopoulos has re-signed both Joe Jiménez & Pierce Johnson. Jiménez signed a 3-year/$26M deal while Pierce inked a 2-year/$14.25M contract. Both relievers were on the short list of consistently dependable options in the Braves’ Arm Barn. After the pair’s contracts, the Braves bullpen in 2024 is now: Raisel Iglesias, Pierce Johnson, Joe Jiménez, A. J. Minter, Michael Tonkin & Tyler Matzek.
Other relief options, as shaky as they may be, who have a 2024 salary from the Braves are: Yonny Chirinos, Huascar Ynoa, Daysbel Hernandez, AJ Smith-Shawver, & Jackson Stephens. While Brad Hand will account for $500,000 in dead money.
Option Decisions
The Braves & their players have some decisions to make.
