Braves Sweep Twin Bill
The Braves handled their business yesterday, sweeping the doubleheader against the Marlins.
In Game One, Kyle Muller pitched like a man who was told the fifth spot of the rotation was up for grabs. The Mulldozer POUNDED the strikezone; throwing 51 of his 73 pitches for a strike. Over his five innings of work he struck out five, walked one, only gave up three hits, & surrendered two earned runs.
It was as smooth a relay from starter to relievers to closer as Braves fans could’ve asked for.
Chadwick Tromp introduced himself to Braves Country by going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Matt Olson smoked one to center for a solo shot in the 5th of Jesus Luzardo.
Game Two
Ronald Acuña Jr. started the second game of the day with a homerun on the very first pitch.
It was a lead that the Braves would never relinquish.
Ian Anderson looked like the guy the Braves have wanted him to be all year. He earned his tenth win of the year, throwing 101 pitches over six innings, notching four strikeouts & surrendering only two runs.
Vaughn Grissom doubled his career homerun total in the fifth when he blasted a two-run shot off of AJ Ladwig.
Oh, Matt Olson hit his second homerun of the day in Game Two.
