Two runs was never going to be enough to beat this Braves team. It took until the 7th inning for the Braves to execute the first lead change of the entire series; but it was right on time.
Down 2-1 when Dansby Swanson stepped up, he equalized the game with an opposite-field homerun. Only to have the very next batter, pinch-hitting Jorge Soler, out the Braves on top with an absolute missile that landed in the Arm Barn beyond the left field wall.
That one run lead was all the Night Shift needed to bring home the win. The Atlanta Braves are now one win away from winning the franchise’s first World Series title since 1995.
Game Five
The obvious question regarding tomorrow is who will start the game toeing the slab? If I was to put money on it, I’d say Tucker Davidson gets the nod; then once it gets to Minter, the Night Shift takes it home. But, Minter had an excellent start in last year’s NLCS, so he’s obviously the other best option.
