Offense & Ian
The Braves stayed hot following their first series win of 2022, taking care of the Texas Rangers 6-3 in Arlington.
The Braves put on a show for a Braves-heavy crowd in their return to the site of the 2020 NLCS. In total, the Braves hit four home runs. William Contreras hit two mammoth shots of the solo variety. Austin Riley keeps raking, launching a 2-run bomb of his own.
The night’s highlight however, was Travis Demeritte’s in-the-park home run. A shot to center field (mid-depth) landed just shy of Rangers CF Adolis García’s diving glove. The Globe Life Field turf made the ball bounce far enough away for Travis Demeritte to fly around all four bases.
Ian Anderson put in six innings of three-hit baseball. He added five strikeouts, issued two bases-on-balls, and surrendered one home run. Ian was the Ian we all know & love; keeping the hitters off balance and the balls on the ground.
Jesse Chavez, Tyler Matzek, & Will Smith got some work in before Kenley Jansen secured the win with his sixth save of 2022.
