Opposing Pitcher Preview: Josh Rogers
Josh was called up today by the Washington Nationals as a subsequent move to Aníbal Sánchez being sent to the 10-day IL.
The lefty was 2-2 in six games last year at the Major League level, with a 3.28 ERA & 1.29 WHIP. He racked up 22 strikeouts over 35.2 innings pitched.
He didn’t face the Braves in 2021.
His longest outing of the season came on September 21st against the Miami Marlins. He threw 7.2 innings that day in a 7-1 win over the South Beach Trophy Fish. A Nick Fortes home run was the only run surrendered that day.
He’s been saddled with two losses in his last three games.
With Rogers being a lefty, Orlando Arcia will get the start as Designated Hitter. His right-handed bat is more suitable to face a lefty than left-handed hitter Alex Dickerson.
Arcia was 1-for-3 with 2 RBI as a DH this past Friday.
