Tucker Davidson Added to World Series Roster
The roster move comes after Charlie Morton suffered a broken leg.
The Braves No. 7 ranked prospect has been added to the Atlanta Braves World Series roster. The roster move was approved earlier today by Major League Baseball after Atlanta’s Game One starter Charlie Morton suffered a fractured leg last night.
Once news broke that Charlie would miss the remainder of the World Series, all eyes shifted to the Braves front office to see who would be called upon to step up in Chuck’s absence.
Atlanta’s other presumable options were Josh Tomlin, Kyle Muller, & Touki Toussaint. Tucker being a left-handed pitcher gave him the edge over Tomlin & Touki. It came down to a decision between him & Muller. Miller’s struggles at Gwinnett were likely the deciding factor in calling on Davidson.
Now, will he be the Game 4 starter? Game 5 starter? Bulk pitcher in a bullpen game? Snitker will discuss his upcoming role, but I wouldn’t expect it soon enough for Houston to gameplan.
